On Monday, October 28th, a number of band students from Housel Middle School & Prosser High School attended a performance by "The President's Own" United States Marine Band. Stationed in Washington D.C., the group's primary mission is to provide music for the President of the United States and the Commandant of the Marine Corps, and they are considered the best of the best in the band world. This was part of their national tour that comes to the West coast every five years.
Following the concert, our Prosser students got to participate in a Q&A session with some members of the band. The next day, Master Sergeant Harry Ong, a clarinetist with the band, came to HMS and PHS to work with our band students.
