Beginning Band & Choir Information

This is a list of the music performances that have been scheduled to date. As this list has been prepared well in advance, times may vary from what is listed below. Sports schedules may also change as we get closer to the season. Please mark your family calendars with all of the dates in which your student is involved to avoid conflicts.

• Tuesdays Through June 5:00pm-6:30pm: PHS Drop-In Pep Band Rehearsals @PHS Band Room

• Thurs 8/8-Fri 8/9 9:00am-3:00pm: PHS Band Camp @PHS Band Room (PHS Band)

• Tuesday 8/27:  FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

• Monday 9/2 8:30am-11:30am:  States Day Parade MEET AT PHS BAND ROOM (PHS Band)

• Thursday 9/5 5:00-7:00pm:  Ted Brown Rental Night @HMS Band Room

  • You can fill out all the paperwork at https://www.tedbrownmusic.com/topic/instrument-rentals to speed up your process that evening.

• Saturday 9/7 WSU Band Day (Not required, but strongly encouraged!).  More info will be coming.

• Friday 11/1 In Class:  Concert Attire Due (PHS Band) PHS Band Students will be asked to bring in a picture of themselves in their selected concert attire (see the uniform section of the website for more info) or bring in their selected concert attire--this is to ensure everyone is prepared for our concert 3 weeks later.

• 11/8-9 Time TBD: Likely CWAC Playoff (PHS Band)--This is considered a regular-season game and is graded.

• Monday 11/11 9:45am-11:30am (est): Prosser Veteran's Day Parade (PHS Band)

**Playoff Games are not required band activities (though they still count for lettering points and may receive extra credit or community service hours).  As such, they are considered "Activities" and fall under those requirements, especially grade eligibility.
