Make sure your student takes advantage of this amazing benefit!

Happy Wednesday!
You should find a flyer either in your child's Wednesday folder or somewhere in the void of their backpacks today after school with the following information:
The Prosser PTO is excited to bring back COIN WARS! It's a fun and easy way to raise some monies to help our PTO's mission to bring larger assembly opportunities and enrichment to our elementary students. We are hoping that the funds raised through this effort will be enough to purchase a slushy machine that we can use at other events to raise even more money for the assembly events themselves.
So empty out those pockets, check the couch, under the seats in the car...or wherever you might find some loose change (we accept paper and digital change too!) and help our students have a friendly competition between schools while helping our larger vision of STEAM focused opportunities that our kids deserve to experience.
The event will officially begin this coming Monday, September 16 and go through the week ending on Friday, September 20th. Starting Monday, students will find a large clear blue water jug near their school office where they can watch their change pile up throughout the week. The winning school will win an ice cream party!
If you no longer use/have change and feel the itch to donate, we do have an option set up on our website at prosserpto.com where you can make a donation specifically for the Coin Wars.
***And don't forget to ask friends & family both near and far as they too can help out using the prosserpto.com website!***
Here's to a great year!

📚 September is Attendance Awareness Month! 🏫
Did you know that just two absences per month can be considered chronic absenteeism? That's right—missing only 10% of the school year can impact a student's success. 📅
Why is attendance so crucial? There’s a direct link between regular school attendance and student achievement. Every day counts toward a brighter future!
Who can help improve attendance? It’s a team effort:
- Students: Remember to wash your hands regularly, get enough sleep, and eat nutritious meals.
- Parents: Set regular bedtimes, wake-up times, and keep electronics off at a reasonable hour.
- Schools: We strive to make personal connections with students and celebrate regular attendance.
At Prosser School District, we believe that attendance matters and is essential for student success. Let's work together to ensure every student has the opportunity to excel! 🎓✨

PTO Jog-A-Thon ---
Hi, everyone!
There's just over a week left for raising donations for the upcoming Jog-A-Thon. Though KRV will run/jog/walk on the 31st, all donations are to be turned in on Friday, May 17th. We're very excited to offer some really fun incentives including the possibility of someone going home with a Nintendo Switch! We will be asking for volunteers to help the day of the event, so keep a lookout for volunteer requests as we get closer to the event. Thanks again for your support as we look to offer more STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art & math) opportunities/assemblies for our students!
Let's get jogging!
