Superintendent Kim Casey
"In my first year as your permanent Superintendent, these four pillars will guide our journey forward: open and transparent communication, accountability, academic rigor, and safety. I believe that by focusing on these principles, we can make a positive difference in the lives of our students and the entire Prosser School District community."
Dear Prosser School District Staff, Students, and Community,
I am thrilled to write to you today as your new permanent Superintendent of the Prosser School District! It has been an honor to serve as the Interim Superintendent since July 1, 2023, and I am excited to continue this journey with all of you.
As we move forward, there are some important goals and values that I would like to emphasize in my first year as your permanent Superintendent. Along with the District Strategic plan, these are the building blocks that will help us create an even better learning environment for our students.
Open and Transparent Communication: To begin with, I want you all to know that I am committed to open and transparent communication. This means that I will always strive to keep the lines of communication open, making sure that your voices are heard and that we work together as a community to make our schools better. Your input and ideas are valuable, and I am here to listen.
Accountability for Staff and Students: Accountability is another key aspect we'll focus on. I believe that when we all take responsibility for our actions, we can achieve great things. I will work with the staff and students to set high standards and ensure that everyone is held accountable for their part in creating a successful learning environment.
Improving the Rigor of Academics for All Students: Education is at the heart of what we do, and it is my goal to improve the rigor of academics for all students. We want to provide a high-quality education that challenges and inspires our students, helping them reach their full potential. This means we will work on enhancing our curriculum, resources, and support for all learners. This includes improving attendance, improving on-time graduation rates, and increasing family involvement.
Ensuring that School is a Safe Place for Everyone to Learn and Belong: Safety is a top priority for me. I want every student and staff member to feel safe and secure in our schools. This goes beyond physical safety; it also includes emotional well-being and creating an environment where everyone feels they belong and are valued for who they are.
In my first year as your permanent Superintendent, these four pillars will guide our journey forward: open and transparent communication, accountability, academic rigor, and safety. I believe that by focusing on these principles, we can make a positive difference in the lives of our students and the entire Prosser School District community.
I'm eager to work with all of you to achieve these goals, and I'm filled with excitement and hope for the future. Together, we can make our district an even better place to learn, grow, and succeed.
Thank you for your trust and support. Let's embark on this journey together!
Sincerely,
Kim Casey
