As winter approaches, we want to ensure you're informed about our inclement weather procedures, prioritizing the safety of students and staff. Stay updated through:
1. Online:
Check http://www.prosserschools.org for the latest info.
The district sends out phone, email, and text messages to families when classes are canceled or delayed. To ensure that you receive these communications please do the following.
- Make sure that your contact information is up to date in Skyward so that you will receive these alerts.
- Opt-in for text messages from the Prosser School District (Text “YES” TO 87569 to Opt-in to receiving text messages from our District.)
2. Flash Alert:
Download the Flash Alert Messenger app for direct notifications.
- If desired sign up for flash alert. This is optional and necessary. But it is great services for all area notifications. The instructions for signing up can be found on our website under parent resources. (Parent Resources | Prosser School District (prosserschools.org))
3. TV Stations:
Watch local channels: KVEW, KAPP, KEPR, KNDU.
4. Radio Stations:
Listen for updates on: KFAE, HOTT, KXDD, KARY, KORD, KRSE, KEYW, KBBO, KXRX, KJOX, KOLW, KLOK, KFLD, KONA.
Notification Timing:
- Delay notifications by 6:00 A.M.
- Closure decisions by 7:30 A.M.
