Good Attendance

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. In our ongoing commitment to keep you informed about your child's academic journey within Prosser School District, I want to highlight a crucial aspect—attendance. Effective communication is vital, and one of my primary goals as superintendent of Prosser School District is to establish transparent channels that provide you with timely and relevant information.

Starting later this week, you will receive attendance letters by mail when your child's attendance meets specific parameters that warrant communication. These letters are designed to keep you in the loop about your child's attendance patterns and initiate a collaborative effort between home and school.

Communication is the cornerstone of a successful partnership between home, school and community that plays a pivotal role in supporting a child's academic journey. To ensure you stay informed, we will continue to make regular calls regarding your child's attendance. For additional resources and detailed information on state attendance guidelines, I encourage you to visit the OSPI website: [OSPI Attendance Resources](https://ospi.k12.wa.us/student-success/support-programs/attendance-chronic-absenteeism-and-truancy).

Prosser School Districts overarching goal is to provide resources and support to families, helping ensure that students attend school regularly and achieve their full potential in the educational system. Life brings unexpected challenges, and we want you to know that we are here to assist you.

I value open communication, and if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out. Your collaboration and support are instrumental in creating an environment where every student can succeed.

Thank you for your partnership in our shared mission of providing a quality education for all students in Prosser School District.

Best Regards,

Kim Casey, Superintendent
