NASP Archery Tournament - Friday, January 24 at Connell
The Prosser Archery Club, which includes Housel Middle School and Whitstran Elementary, participated in the NASP Archery Tournament held on Friday, January 24, at Connell. A total of 186 archers competed, with 23 of those coming from Whitstran and 17 from HMS. For many, this was their first NASP Archery competition, with 17 first-time participants from Whitstran and 7 from HMS.
The Whitstran archers had a strong start, showing excellent skill and determination. In the 3D event, Aidan Solorzano, Easton Nutter, Hunter Warren, Taylor McKie, and Maci Dormaier Isabella were the Munoz top performers for Whitstran. Meanwhile, in the Bullseye ncompetition, Maci, Taylor, Marcella Rodriguez, Ethan Rivera Gomez, Keldon, and Aidan all placed high for their school.
Housel Middle School was well-represented. Highlights include: Chelsi Dormaier 1st overall in the Bullseye; 1st Middle School Girls in the 3-D event. Jamie Larsen 3rd Middle School Girls in Bullseye; Carley O’Brien 4th among 6th grade girls in both the Bullseye and 3-D events. Many HMS archers recorded personal best scores.
On February 14th, the club will travel to Kennewick for the WA state tournament. The Connell tournament gave each archer an important opportunity to prepare for state. Thanks to all of our supporters!

Over the weekend one of our social media accounts received a message of a potential school threat on Tuesday at PHS. This was not a post, but a message, this is why the threat has not been seen on more public forms of social media. We have been working closely with the Prosser Police Department. The Prosser Police Department will have a presence at PHS all day while we continue to investigate the situation and determine the validity of the threat. We will keep everyone informed. The safety of our staff and students is our top priority.
